Our triple layered East African fabric face masks are handmade in Melbourne exclusively to raise funds to support our staff in Tanzania during the Covid-19 global crisis. As economies, tourism, international trade and businesses suffer, along with health and safety concerns, school closures and community restrictions, our staff and their families need our support.
All our East African fabric is directly traded from our sister fabric store in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
But this Fabric Face Mask features the City of Joy Collection produced by Vlisco in the Netherlands. This heartfelt fabric collection support women in the DR Congo and symbolises the recovery of women from rape and trauma. The City of Joy in Bukavu, Eastern Congo, helps women overcome suffering and stigma, and to emerge as leaders, entrepreneurs and educators.
Fabric is 100% cotton and lining is a super soft cotton/linen blend, internally is superfine interfacing. Masks and storage pouches are machine washable. The longer edge is for the top of your nose.
