Tanzania Elton Farm Natural
Elton Farm, located in Ileje - Southern Highlands, is decades old, and possibly one the oldest surviving colonial farms in Southern Tanzania. Pioneering the way with organic processes on the farm for a number of years. Elton Farm uses intercropping with tree nuts and legumes to produce a high quality shade grown Arabica. The Central processing Unit situated on Elton Farm processes over 20,000 tonnes of parchment each year, predominantly by small-scale farmers. They can run about two and half tonnes of cherry an hour, and separate the parchment into three grades - PI, PIII, PIII and floaters. This natural lot is slowly sun dried to 12.5% moisture on raised African beds.
Tasting notes: Cascara and honey notes move to soft pear. Delicate raspberry acidity. Full chewy caramel finish.
